There was something about this Mercer Island wedding that just felt incredibly intentional from beginning to end. Jesse & Jenny created a wedding weekend that felt warm, stylish, emotional, and genuinely them in every possible way. From their intimate tea ceremony celebration the night before to the forest ceremony tucked into the trees and the packed dance floor later that night, every part of the day carried this cozy energy that made everyone feel connected. It wasn’t overly flashy or performative, it felt relaxed, heartfelt, and deeply meaningful while still looking insanely beautiful. The combination of the modern indoor spaces, towering trees, candlelit reception, and playful little moments throughout the day made this entire Mercer Island wedding feel like such a perfect reflection of who Jesse & Jenny are together!

The Tea Ceremony & The Start of This Mercer Island Wedding Weekend

One of my favorite parts of this wedding weekend was getting to see the tea ceremony celebration the night before the wedding day itself. The atmosphere felt intimate and emotional while still carrying this really fun, relaxed energy. Family and friends gathered around long wooden tables sharing tea, drinks, conversation, and stories while Jesse & Jenny moved through the room together so naturally, like they were hosting everyone in their own home. Jenny wore the most stunning red dress for the evening, and the entire space had this moody, cinematic glow that photographed beautifully. There was such a strong sense of family and history woven into the night, and you could tell how much it meant to everyone involved.

What I loved most was how seamlessly the entire weekend blended tradition with their own personality. Nothing felt forced or overly formal. Jesse making tea, guests laughing together between speeches and conversations, the quiet little glances between the two of them across the room, those were the moments that really defined the vibe of this celebration. It felt elegant without trying too hard. Emotional without becoming overly serious. Just warm, welcoming, and full of people who clearly adore these two.

Forest Ceremony Vibes at This Mercer Island Wedding

The actual wedding day felt like stepping into this peaceful little pocket of the Pacific Northwest. Their ceremony took place surrounded by massive trees, moss-covered trunks, and soft green light filtering through the forest. The ceremony deck itself was simple and modern, which let the natural surroundings completely shine. Jenny’s dress moved so beautifully against all the greenery, and Jesse’s deep plum suit added the perfect rich color against the forest backdrop. Together they looked incredibly timeless while still feeling modern and effortless.

Their portraits ended up being some of my favorite images from the day because they just looked so comfortable together. Nothing felt overly posed or stiff, they were laughing, pulling each other close, sneaking little forehead touches, and fully soaking in the fact that they had just gotten married. There was this calmness between them that made every photo feel intimate without trying too hard. Even during the ceremony itself, you could feel how grounded they were together. The whole setting felt quiet, emotional, and incredibly romantic in that understated Pacific Northwest kind of way.

Candlelit Reception Energy, Krispy Kreme Donuts & The Best Dance Floor

Once everyone moved inside for the reception, the vibe shifted into this cozy, energetic celebration that honestly felt like the perfect ending to the day. The reception space had these high ceilings, massive windows overlooking the trees, warm wood tones, and soft string lights that made everything glow once the sun went down. It felt elegant but still incredibly welcoming, like the kind of space where people instantly settle in, grab a drink, and stay on the dance floor all night.

And honestly… the dance floor delivered. Guests were fully committed from the second the music started, and the energy stayed high all night long. One of my favorite little moments was Jesse & Jenny feeding each other Krispy Kreme donuts instead of doing a traditional cake cutting. It felt playful and perfectly fitting for them. By the end of the night, everyone spilled outside for the sparkler exit, and it honestly could not have been a more fun ending to such an intentional, heartfelt wedding weekend. Watching them run through the sparklers together while all their favorite people cheered them on just felt like the perfect final scene to this Mercer Island wedding!
