You can do a private first look, exchange personal vows before the ceremony, skip traditions you don’t care about, spend cocktail hour with your guests, carve out more time for portraits, or completely change the order of the day if that makes more sense for you.

Think about the parts of a wedding day that you’re actually excited about and give those things room in your timeline. If being with your people is the most important thing, make time for that. If you really want a quiet moment together before everything gets going, make that happen too. Your wedding doesn’t have to follow a certain formula just because that’s how weddings are “supposed” to go. The best days are the ones where you can look around and think, yeah, this feels like us.
